Coincidentia oppositorum is a nsatural tendency to unite the opposite. In the studie of gender there is a division into feminin and masculine aspects. In the Tempest Shakespeare tries to connect feminine aspect (emotion, nature instinct) that is represented by Miranda and masculine aspect (reason, intellect) that is represented by Ferdinand. Can you tell me why this marriage. Scholars claim that the marriage does not work, that is artificial. I cannot understand why. Does anybody can explain it to me.
