Hello, my name is Derek and i've come to ask you for your opinions on conversion. Im not a Hindu, but i have been alot of material of the religion. I was never baptised and am not binded to any religion. Lately i have felt lost, and am looking for a following, something to believe in and practice. I agree with many of the philosiphies of the hinduism, and they seem to make more sense then some other religions. I have hindu friends, yet i wanted some more information before i talked to them about this. I'm not just picking a faith out of a hat, im serious when i say im looking for a following to pursue. Christianity is to far-fetched, and parable like. Islam i found was very submisive, and controlling. Though any following has its down side, i agree with that of hinduism plenty more then i do for any other. Your opinions on whether or not to, and how would be greatly appreciated. I've seen sites where they say you must be born a hindu, and others that say you need a priest to do a ceremony. But before i concern myself with that, i need advice.
Thank you,
Derek
