Hello. I am a student who recently read "The Names of Horses" by Donald Hall. As I read it, I immediately believed that he was not, in fact, remembering the horses who worked for him, but slaves instead. There is evidence that it is true but I was wondering if anyone else agreed with me or even knew what he intended for the horses to represent. Please respond. Thanks.
