Well, I'm by no means an expert on the topic... but I can point you in the right direction.

You asked about the parade of sins. That's one of my favorite parts of his epic poem. If Spenser had written Faerie Queene today, he may have gone with a more contemporary spin and referred to the procession as the 'PARADE OF SEVEN PEOPLE WHO REPRESENTS THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS' instead. Then, again... maybe not.

The next question, of course is, do you know what those seven sins are? If you have ever watched the movie 'Se7en' with Brad Pitt? Then the answer is yes, you do. However, if you don't like Brad Pitt and don't appreciate him for the dramatic, thespian genius that he truly is... well, I'll forgive you this once and list them anyway: Pride, Greed, Sloth, Lust, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony.

1. Pride.
The parade takes place at the House of Pride, led by Pride herself--Queen Lucifera--in a glittering coach. Lucifera is, of course, the fem form of Lucifer, the fallen angel God expelled from Heaven because of his... that's right, pride.

----Queen Lucifera's Six Chancellors----

2.Sloth.
Idleness wears all black and rides in on his lazy . (And who said Spenser didn't have a sense of humor.) While he leads the remaining procession, he is too lazy to lift his head and watch where he is going. Plz Note: Sloth does not just mean slow, or physically lazy. It also means being indifferent to the suffering of others, making the 'easy choice' instead of the holy choice, being close-minded to the truth. Example: Have you ever heard someone make an excuse for their bad behavior because "That's the way they were raised"? Well, now you can come back with, "Wonderful, then when you go to hell at least you'll already have friends."

Proverb 19:2 "It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor be hasty and miss the way."

3. Gluttony.
Rides in on a pig. Sweating, dirty, tired.

4. Lust.
Lechery rides in on a bearded goat. He is fake and fickle and wears the sign of jealousy. His clothes are nice to hide the filthiness underneath.

5. Greed.
Avarice rode in on a Camel packed the gold and valuables.

6. Envy
Road in on a ravenous wolf, chewing on a poisonous toad. (Bet he was a pleasant guy to be around) He was happy when bad things happened to others and said hurtful words.

7.Wrath
Wrath arrives on a lion. The lion is the king of beasts and has the power to destroy. He has a burning Braun nestled about his head, and he holds a dagger. He gets angry, then is quick to repent.
-----------
And there you go. Hoped this helped. *wink*
