Hello,
For a friend of mine I am looking for the author of the following text:
"Alles Vergängliche,
in Sünden Verfängliche,
Es war einmal.
Es wachsen Flügel,
Es hebt sich der Riegel,
Zum ewigen Saal."
She thought it was by Goethe.
If possible, could you please provide me with the title of the poem this is from and with a translation as well?
Kind regards,
Guido Makor
