Does this sound familiar to anyone? It's a quote from Bukowski, not sure if it's from a poem or a story, but it's about waiting in long lines all the time to see one check-out clerk, and how he'd like to see the clerks standing in line. I can't remember the phrasing and I can't even begin to look for it since all my books are in storage ... if anyone could point me towards the right poem, story, or book, or knows the exact quote, that'd be very helpful.
Thank you.
