: : Has anyone by any chance ordered Theatre of the Mind from Noble House Publishers?
: : Through my website www.poetryin-e-motion.com (Journal of Stupidities, poetry scams) I got an inquiry refering to that book. I was asked if I knew whether or not it was a coincidence that the poet who ordered the book was on the first page.
: : I'm very curious about it. It'd be one hell of a vanity thing if they would actually produce the book in a printing-on-demand kind of way just to be able to put the poet who orders the book on the first page.
: : Leave me an email if you have ordered the book or know someone who has.
: : Thanks!
: Here's an idea. There seem to be a lot uf us who have submitted at least one poem to these people.
: Some of us were lucky enough not to send money, but most of us did not gaini anything material.
: On the other hand, I can honestly say the poetry.com listing was not a complete waste of time. I have had a few people ask about my writing and sent them to look there at the couple of poems I submitted. Free display of work I was not going to make anything out of anyway.
: On the other hand, considering the number of disappointed people in this discussion, why not get together as a group, collate an anthology and price the production, then look into publishing something collectively through a proper publishing house?
: If something can be arrranged with a "real" publisher, everyone can share the cost and publish a decent book with people submitting more than one poem each. Perhaps the costs can be divided on a per page, per person basis.
: It would not be quite as simple as it sounds, someone would have quite a lot of work to do - but it just might work.

I think that is a great idea and could really work. If our poems are really as good as poetry.com and noble house say they are then we should be the ones making the money not giving it to them. Recently I was told by poetry.com that I was one of 200 chosen to be published for best poets and poems of 2004 but now i don't know what to think. Let me know if enough people are interested :)
Kind Regards,
Candice
