I'm looking for the same poem! I know the beginning, but I can't remember the end. What I remember:
Ladies and Gentlespoons,
I come before you to stand behind you to tell you som=ething I know nothing about. Next Tuesday, the day after Thursday, there'll be a ladies meeting for men only. Admission is free, you'll pay at the door. There are plenty of seat, you'll sit on the floor
That's all I can think of!
If you've found the rest--please let me know.
: Hi there,
: I'm looking for a poem that starts "ladies and gentlespoons" and consists of utter nonsense such as "pull up a chair, you can sit on the floor" and others. It is a great poem, and I suspect it was written by Beardsley. If you know who wrote it, or if you can find it on the net, please e-mail me.
: Thanks a bunch!
