hello, i have a question. if i'm not mistaken, plato thought that matter existed before god or the good? (matter always was), but if that were so, it would seem that matter could have no Form of matter, i mean, it could not be ever have a Form, matter would always be the shadow- without the Good to illuminate it. the Forms seem to exist in mind, but matter doesn't exist in mind- is matter than always to be *inferior*? i know that a human can either be a good or bad copy of a form, but that was brought to light by the knowledge of the good, if the good never founded a good of matter- then is matter no good? i guess that's all it would amount to- and that's not too much of a surprise. thanks
