E' mia opinione, quanto al confronto tra John Locke e Thomas Hobbes, che va innanzitutto indagato il diverso contesto storico dell'Inghilterra e, relativamente, della Francia. Infatti con Hobbes ritroviamo gli elementi fondanti dell'olutismo, mentre con J.Locke si evidenzia il nucleo originario del moderno liberalismo nella divisione dei poteri all'interno dello stato e della costituzione che è inserita tra il parlamento e il sovrano.
