i am looking for a new hunting dog i re-started pheasant hunting this year and found out its pretty hard without a dog so i want to get another dog..the thing is in my past i use to own all pointers i had 3 pointers and loved how they worked the fields and their sence of smell... however lately i have been going pheasant hunting and people are all using labs. but about 10 15 years ago all i saw was pointers, pointers, pointers. i meet up with someone hunting and found out that he ahd a litter and ask him if he would be willing t sell me a pup..well teh dogs bloodlines are suppsoe to be good and such but i was just thinking do i wnat another pointer or get a lab..how does the lab work for pheasant hunting i am starting waterfawl which would help with a lab but its not mandetory wiht a lab..cna you lab owners who pheseant hunting tell me how hte labs work on the fields??
