Hello out there. I just purchased a 14ft, alumacraft fishing boat deep V and would like to know what model of Minkota trolling motor I should purchase? I talked to a salesperson at B Pro Shops and He recommended a Minkota Power Drive, model no# 40pd and a DC 175 battery. I want to use this for fishing with my 4 year old son at a Metropark inland lake. Will this be enough to pull my boat through the lake or do you suggest another type Minkota? Please keep my purchase price withing $400.
