I thought i might start a fairly discussable topic with fans of Kafka. Its been awhile since anyone posted anything here...
What's a good symphony or other work to match Kafka's style?
I think Maurice Ravel's risque "Bolero" (it was once described as a "cabaret tune" by critics) with its insinuations to insanity is very Kafkaesque. To me, it parallel's Kafka's "The Trial" especially in its reiterative ribaldness apropos the many ual encounters of Joseph K. and the composition's duration together with the feeling that it isn't complete somehow. Any other suggestions, besides symphonies or perhaps a composer in general?
