: I'm looking for a good translation of the cherry orchard to use as an audition piece. anyone know where i can get one?
Carol Rocomora's translations are by far the most faithful and beautiful for an actor to speak. Ms. Rocomora travelled to Chekhov's home and immersed herself in his life and words and has now translated most of his plays, both major and farcical. The translations are the best out there, no contest.
