I have discovered that a great many other composers of Scarlatti's day owe a debt to him, for example, the Spanish composer Padre Antonio Soler who used Scarlatti's binary form for sonatas to create some very interesting rhythmic sonatas of his own. There must be other composers in this genre. Do any of you know who they might be?
