I'm a student at Olentangy High School and we are reading the book "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien. Which is about the Vietnam War. For part of this project we are supposed to post messages on forum much like this one. I don't really knwo that much about the war and what all went on, but I do know that it was a terrible thing to happen. As I started reading the book I learned that most of the men fighting were just out of high school and just little boys. This would have just been an awful thing to go through. I have the most respect for any man or woman who fought in the Vietnam War. They had to be incredible brave, and strong and deserive nothing but the respect of everyone else. You all served a nation very proud (even if what you were fighting for wasn't right) we should all thank you!
