: Just out of curiosity, who in here has heard of the Hmong people and what they did for the United States? What do you think of these People?
Well, first of all, I would like to acknowledge that the Hmoob people are a race of people located in southern Asia (Laos, Thailand, Vietnam for those of you who don't know). We are harmonious and humble people. Many of us, even today, are farmers, or have enormous gardens which is harvested every year. Additionally, we were the soldiers who fought alongside the Americans with overwhelming support. Many of our soldiers were not even considered adults yet. More than 3/4 of the soldier forces were of young men, whose ages ranged from 12-18.
It was because of us that the Americans did not lose many of their people, because we sacrificed ourselves for the freedom (which never really happened) in which winning would guarantee. Vietnam was our backyard, and the Americans were lost in it. If it was not for our help, surly they would have not made it.
I believe, and have faith in the Hmoob people. It is who we are, who I am, and who our people will always be. We are great people, and if we really put ourselves to making a change for the future, our future will be great.
