: Why is this Yankee chump celebrated as a 'great' commander in World War Two, when all he did was ride a mountain of equipment across Europe in the face of a much weakened enemy?
Because he could have beaten the pants off of the German Army had there not been dead weight like Montgomery slowing him down.
: I mean, this loud mouthed, American buffoon wasn't anywhere near as competent or skilled a commander at Britain's Montgomery.
: Montgomery was more skilled, saw more action and did much of the ground work that resulted in a successful allied landing on continental Europe again.
He saw more action because he was babied by the allies all through the war.
: Yet Monty is sidelined by Yanks in favour of admiring this Patton imbecile, 'cos the Yankees can't stand sharing the victory laurels with the British. What a joke!
Keep dreaming!
