Woah! All the debaters are here and guess what? This is my topic also.. -.- I liked our other topic : glob. vs. nat. sovereignty... so much easier.. anyways. I was wondering if whether the term "justice" works both ways and which side it is going to lean toward. I mean, defending the spirit, they can always say that justice is molding to a case, and seeing what is the best verdict during that one particular case even if it means overriding the letters of the law. Just out of curiosity, could the side that is defending "letters" say that one is still looking at the content then moving on a molding... proving in the sense that letters of the law is put as the higher priority? I would think so, because you would have the play with the resolution which states, "When in conflict, the letters of the law ought to take priority over the spirit of the law." I don't really, know. I believe that only debaters who know our Law Book inside out can be successful at this resolution. End of story. Anyone who can answer my random questions please do so. ^^ AU revoiR!
