The Song of Solomon is a very beautiful book! I have read the song in the KJV, NIV and NLT. I would like to get a clearer understaning of the book. There was a wonderful book written several years ago by Roberta Dorr called Solomon's Song. The book is based on the Song of Solomon, and uses other books of the bible that are about the life of Solomon. For anyone who would like to have more knowledge about Solomon, Shulamite and learn more about biblical history during this time it is a great read! The thing that suprised me the most about this book is that the author takes the Song of Solomon and incorporates it into a novel, and also, the reader "meets" bilblical characters: Nathan, David, Bathsehba ...
I believe that the Song of Solomon is a love story between Solomon and Shulmate, this book proclaims his love for her, from the time that they meet to their wedding day and beyond.
For the romantics this is a romantics dream love story.
