The reason the KJV says Easter was because it was Easter! There are TWO Jewish Holiday calanders that have to be taken into account here or you WILL miss this understanding.
The common Holiday calander observed Pover several days prior to the second calander. The second calander was almost exclusivly used by the Essenes, the group John the Baptist is said to be a descendant of.
So the AKJV is absolutly correct when it says Easter. The second Jewish Holiday clander and the pagan feast of Easter lined up on the exact same day when Jesus was crucified.
