Who says this is the only planet with life? If you want to use reason, please use it. If you want to go with scientific orothodoxy, don't appeal to reason. There was a time when it was not reasonable to belive that the earth moved. There was a time when everyone knew stars were on gears. It's a bloody big universe out there, and nobody has all the answers, yet.

When you use logic to show there is no God, remember that the same logic has proved that there is a God. Therefore, that same logic proves itself to be a flawed tool for this purpose. Go right ahead and disbelieve God, but don't rule out the theory until somebody gets some hard data.
