Hi, Bumpas, I suggest you try reading the New Testament, which will clear up your problem of not understanding the context and relevance of the Old Testament. The Bible can be complex, especially if you are not seeking God's guidance when reading it. I've read your other quotes on this forum and it seems that you are not a Christian. Maybe I am stating the obvious. Is it unreasonable to think that God made a universe and put us here, gave us free will to choose right or wrong so that the ones that truly loved him would be able to be with Him of their own accord? Not to me. I've had some very difficult things happen to me in my lifetime and they've only clarified my faith. This may sound silly, but try reading "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis. If you've ever read R. Anderson's "Watership Down," you'll understand the sociological ramifications of stories like these. Good luck with your reading and I hope you find Christ. The important thing is to find him before it's too late. Please respond with comments or whatever.
