: i've had this album for a while but until a couple days ago i never really payed attention to it when it came on. i heard pali gap, really heard it, for the first time the other day and listened to it 3 more times in a row, listening closely. so much freedom, such originality. singing along to his playing. he really shows just how deep this music came from within him. when his intuition can override any musical stucture, you know something sacred is occuring. This entire album shows his artistic freedom at it's budding, and saddens me to think what this could have turned into. To Jimi, keep spreading your love and understanding to all of us so that we may all understand ourselves. and to all those that work hard hard in their mind to come alive.
