I have a cannon ball found in Western NC. It is 3 inches in diameter and weighs exactly 4 lbs and has a mold ridge most of the way around it. What concerns me is an approximate 1 inch dimple or inset on one side that appears to a 7/16 inch 6 sided bolt head in it. Further this bolt head? appears to have a small hole or indentation in the center of it. It was found with another ball of the same size but it does not have this dimple or bolt head. What is this thing and is it dangerous. Thanks. Dean
