Can anyone help me to answer these two difficult questions??
1. Could "Young Goodman Brown" be told in another setting? In what ways does the setting determine the plot, and could a similar plot in a different setting be as relevant to Hawthorne's allegory of evil?
2. Is "Young Goodman Brown" a dream? Hawthorne said, "Be it so if you will." What difference does it make if it is a dream or if it is not? Why?
