you could do it the easer way and just search it. Or here is what happened. Or the version we learned from Mrs. Gilbertson (8th grade) Ok what happened is that Hamilton and Burr had been fighting over a period of time so they duled. Hamilton shot but missed because he didn't want to be there. Then Burr shot and hit Hamilton in the stomach, Hamilton died the next day.(it was said that if you didn't like the person you would shot them in the leg or arm, if you wanted them dead you shot them at there heart, and if you HATED them you would shoot them in the stomach. If you shot them in the stomach then they would be hurt for a long period of time and slowly die.) Burr was sent to court because of the death of Alexander. Yet, Burr's charges were later dropped due to the fact that Alexander and Burr were chanlenged to the fight/duel.
