What do you think of Jackson's idea of Faramir in his Two Tower's Movie.
It was really dissapointing for me to see how Faramir is seduced not only by the power of the ring, the main theme for Jackson's reading of the book, but for his fragile character.
One of the things I admired the most in Faramir was his noble attitude. And in Jackson's version we have a weak man with a weak mind. Yearning for recognition form his father, as he actually does but, ready to use anything to gain it.
Yet, that's the main difference between Faramir and Boromir.
Even if Jackson decided to skip that wheighty oath about not to desire the "thing" even if he find's it under his feet in the river... He cannot let Faramir's character go with that devious image.
I think that Jackson is making too much enfasis in humanity fragile condition and he is letting go very important contrast between humans. One of the gratest richness in Tolkien's work, in my opinion.
What do you think about this?
