I am wondering if anyone would know the answer to a question posed to my 5th grade daugher...it goes as follows:
One American man shot dead another American man in full view of many people. The two men had never met before and did
not know each other. Neither was a policeman nor a criminal. The man who shot and killed the other man was not
arrested or charged with any crime. Why not?
Clues: Although an innocent man was killed, no crime was committed. Both men were armed. This took place in the 19th
century.
