Hello everyone,
Writer's Block is an award-winning, quarterly online magazine aimed at Canadians in the writing trade. We are currently seeking submissions on writing trends for our summer issue.
Suggested topics:
Flash Fiction
What is it and why should all writers practise it?
Spoken Word
Are slam poets the beatniks of the new millennium?
Into the Spotlight — The New Writer as Celebrity Icon
Does an author have to be cool, hip, and y for his/her book to sell?
E-Book Mania
Will this form of publishing prove to be a better medium for certain types of books?
If you would like to contribute an article on any of these topics, or on any topic related to current writing trends, please notify Dalya Goldberger (dgoldberger@niva.com ), Managing Editor, by Friday, 4 May 2001 of your intent to submit. Submission guidelines can be found at http://www.writersblock.ca/ under "Contribute to Writer's Block." The deadline for article submissions is 16 May 2001.
