Thanks for your follow up post regarding writing in the second viewpoint. I agree most would say not to write from this perspective. My question was actually for my daughter who is studying 4 Unit English for her HSC. (That is the highest level of english in Australia's Senior School). She has to hand in a 10 page creative writing essay each week and wants to "Blow the teacher away" with a piece written in this form but didn't know of any good examples to give her inspiration. As she is currently ranking number 1 in her school the teacher expects her work to be spectacular.
I will p your suggestion of "Cry the Beloved Country" on to her.
