Yes, we don't know if God does exist but the problem is that we are in doubt. It comes to the simple matter of personal choice of either believing or rejecting His existence. On this planet, he's got many names and many stories that interpret His life and deeds. We all know that in ancient Greece myths were a way to control people with religion. In other words, if one uses to believe in God and therefore is obliged to attend the church, then people in church would take money (is it like "taxation of beliefs" or it's just me?). So this person would donate and another person, let's say a government agent who just killed a dozen or two people, then how would you know which one is there because of which beliefs? Is the 1st man there because of his inner faith or the 2nd one because of his fear of judgement day?
when it comes to thinking, i would prefer to compare -- this is the best way of seeing all the sides of the coin. to start, let's ume that adam and eve wouldn't eat from the tree of knowledge. what would happen? i think that it would've been for the best.. though, everyone has a unique defintion of "the best".. let's say that adam and eve would differ from all other animals by their looks -- they looked like God. (though the question is that would they have had belly ons? for if they were the exact copies, then God would have the same thing.. which means that there was someone else out there to create him.. another thing is that all we picture God as a male.. that's fine up until the time when He creates a... WOMAN!!! so is he germaphrodite or ther are 2 of them - a male AND a female).. it's something to think about but the best part that it undermines the whole notion of one God. in that case, many religions fail to be accurate according to the above mentioned reasons and only one sustains the test -- hinduism. in that religion, we see gods of both es -- and true, there are things that males perform better than females and vice versa, so the idea of equality of men and women is not all that "modern".. hindus have been there for quite some time now, and for them it's not something unusual.. another thing is that hinduism have been out there for millunniums while christianity is relatively "new" to this world. it means that there is nothing that we can create that would be flawless -- i think it's better we stick to the principles that have been established a long time ago.. why? just because they work.. another thing that i can't help but mention is the book that most people have heard about -- Kama Sutra. while religions deny it as an act of flesh and picture it in the most disguisting colors, people of india have been embracing the art of love for quite some time now.. well, we have to agree that people are not born with this knowledge and there is a way of learning that... it's almost like "bible tells you whom to love and Kama sutra tells you how..". let's face it, what is harder -- to find a person or to stay with a person? i think the 2nd one is out of the reach of the 1st one.. nowadays it's not a big deal to talk to someone from japan and fly to france to meet a person. but the key thing is to make that person stay with you... it's not like you will trap him/ her or chain them to the bed.. it's all about making that person realize that you are the one for him/ her.. bible is not telling you how to deal when intimate things go wrong -- on the contrary, you have to deny your feelings.. and we all area aware that this is not healthy.. on top of that, it makes one more concerned with the world and this person's reactions.. so, we have a lot of psychologists who get astronomical salaries (that closely resemble the phone number) and as many patients.. why can't we just relax and see that if a religion is not working, then maybe we have lost something along the road while coming to this religion?.. it's so crazy it just might work..
i am not here to preach hinduism nor am i here to make people abandon christianity -- it's just the matter of choice and personal preference. but i believe that the religion part is not working because people are just so skeptical.. there were times when people believed anything they were told about the religion but not anymore.. and i think this accounts for the fact that humanity is not pure anymore.. to come back to the comparisons, we consider infants to be pure.. infants of animals or infants of humans.. why?.. maybe because they do not posess something that we value -- something called knowledge.. before humans had knowledge, they were innocent -- they just followed their nature (and as we remember, it's the same as of God's).. but for some reason we can't call "divine" all the actions that our "God-like" nature tells us.. can we?..
