Either political party can be defined by mostly agreeing with most of the registered memebers of that party.
3) A conservative is someone who is reluctant to change. Note that this is an emotional attitude, not a political ideology.
4) A liberal is someone who is usually willing to change. Note that this is an emotional attitude, not a political ideology.
To contrast the emotional definition with the usual political definitions, I submit the following. I am an emotional conservative, that is, I dislike change in general, but I do not agree with most of the politicly conservative policies (in general, policies that favor the wealthy). I don't like change, but I feel it is necessary to prevent a rather large change for the worse.
