DOES ANYONE READ TACITUS NOW?
he is incomparably the greatest latin historian and prose stylist. as a historian, he is however very biased. the least biased of his works is THE HISTORIES< WHERE HE DEALS WITH THE CHAOS FOLLOWING NERO'S DEATH, THE YEAR OF THE 4 EMPERORS, ETC.
