In Georgias section 508A Plato chides Callicles for neglecting the "great power of geometric equality amongst both gods and men: you hold that self-advantage is what one ought to practise, beacuse you neglect geometry." I believe this is reference to the order of the world which he just described. The world is an ordered place ruled by unbreakable laws as geometry is. Callicles does not follow these laws and believes that pursuit of self advantage is more important than understanding the specific, (mathmatical) relationship which exists among man and the universe.
Any other theories as to the meaning of this obscure page?
