okae. the question asks you to 'think of the words on the pedestal'. what do they say?
'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look upon my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
think about it. imagine you are there, and you see those words, yet when you look around, there is nothing. the pt is that the connotations that come with 'desert' is that of a bare wasteland, unfruitful. this is seen by the fact tht it is further described as 'boundless' and more importantly, 'bare'. bare of life, bare of people, bare OF HIS WORKS. ozymandias, being so proud and haughty (i ume u knoe the historical/clical reference) imagined tt his works wld well outlast anyone's, even God's. yet now there is nothing left of it, the sands, something so small, has destroyed all. what works has he left?
can't continue the discussion here, but if u want, do email me abt this.
