Hi my name is Tom Raworth.
I am researching Seaham, County Durham, England the town of my birh and the place of Byron's Marriage to Lady Isabella Millbanke
This marriage was to have a Signifcant Effect on Seaham, or maybe more correctly its failure.(Isabella was to inherit Seaham Hall but the failure of the Marriage resulted in the hall, its land and most importantly its mineral rightsi being sold to the 3rd marquess of Londonderry)
can anyone tell me
1/ how did this marriage come about
2/ why did it fail
