: Can anyone answer my questions on Genesis 6:2 vs John 3:16 ?

: a) "When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sonS of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. This 'picking' of girls they like(another example of 'rich' and 'poor' or 'master' and 'slaves', ...anyway, cl differences..? ) Who are THEY ? I didn't see anywhere that the beautiful girls saying 'I do'. In 2001, there is a name for this type of actions in the legal directories of most countries. Genesis 6:2

:
: b) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (How do you reconcile the two verses i.e. Exactly how many son(s) do God have ?)

:
: c) Gen.3:21 "....The man has now become like one of US, knowing good and evil. He must NOT be allowed to reach out his hand and take ALSO from the tree of life and eat, and LIVE forever". This represent what Christians are looking for, the missing link,...eternal salvation ? And who is US ? Logic tells us that BECAUSE Adam and Eve ate the 'APPLE', human has moved closer to 'THEM'. And what is THEIR reaction ? Shut those folks down before they BECOME 'THEM' ! Now, what is so WRONG about BECOMING LIKE THEM ? Worth some thoughts ?

:
: So, this represent an alternative answer to the question why human got the 'death penalty'. No, they have to die BECAUSE they were getting TOO CLOSE to becoming like 'THEM' ....

could it be that the Truth is in the Questions, not the answers? Recall at the time the Jewish scribes were compling the stories of he bible all the people of eartha that time worshipped many gods. i think the foundamental question is this? why was the desire and mission of Judiahsm Christainty and Islam to make people Worship only one god and believe there is only one god? and yet the result is more than two thousands years of hostilites for the Orthodox nation of Isreal worships one god, but that does not mean there are not many gods. and why did the apostles of Christ want to convert the whole world into beleving and worhipping only the one son of God? after all it is mere mortals that write books and he question is what is the purpose for writing the books of the bible? while people chose to worship ro bleieve in One diety does not mean there are not many. hey, we cannot prove there is One God let along there are not many. it tood the ancient Isreals more than 700 years to stop worshiping many gods and become a monothestic people. please forgive my wrong spelling. the bible is full of absurdities and contraditions. maybe it is easier to graps when one understands the limitations of written word. when we speak of a Tree or THE TREE it appears singular yet there are infinite numbers an dkinds of trees. thus one equaes many and many equates one. there is not one letter a but infinite number of the letter A. there is not one star but many stars. there is not one reality but many. yet we speak in singular terms when One is at least two. there is one cell but one cell is made up of many parts and one body has infinite numbers and kinds of cells. there is not one planet, but many. we do not know for sure if there is only one like the earth. there are infinie numbers of human beings reproduced on and on. i think in verse an dpoetry we speak of One to represent the many and speak of many to represent the one. if you try to write this problem faces everyone...we must speak and write of the General way and as a general rule or a general idea or general this and not in detail and specificaly about Individuality and Individual differences. also there is more to read and know by what is not written than wwhat is written, that read between te lines. there is an interesting book titled Children of the matrix for any one with a open mind that wants to devle into other explainations. who knows? it takes direct experience to know and know for sure. even if there were many gods and sons of gods we mortals would still chose one above all the rest. what i enjoy about the Hebrew Scripture that is the OT to Christians, is the compliation of the ancient religons and ways of life into a allegorical stories. the problem with words and writing is this: how do we describe the indescribable? usualy with mtyhological images, allegories and symbols. and the bible is very symbolic. is your question more rhetorical than truth seeking? As Plato so rightly siad, the gods will never affirm if our ideas are right or wrong. maybe that is because mankind was blessed with the sacred law of freewill and freedom to think and chose to believe whatever we like. maybe it is our soul that defines the truth. sincerely fj
