when studying the great apochalyptic book,keep this one thing in mind. one of the main keys needed to open the understanding to this book is found in the first 5 words of the book. 5 being the number of "grace", those words are " THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST" the word Revelation means an unveiling, or to reveal. most approach this book as the book about the destruction of the world or the end of all things, and try to understand the meaning in relation to the chronology of events taking place and their relation to modern history. take a new approach, and think of the revelation as a great overture being played by God himself just before the curtain rises to "REVEAL JESUS CHRIST" to all the world, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond.remember, if you are one who prides themself in "knowing" The Lord, even John the revelator who walked with the Lord for 3 years during His earthly ministry, who laid his head in the Saviours bossom at the last supper, the only disciple to stand at the foot of the cross, and the first to the empty tomb, the "beloved disciple", when he received the "revelation" and heard a voice as a trumpet behind him, when he turned and saw the glorified Christ, he fell on his face as a dead man.
