According to Australian Presbyterian Professor, Francis Nigel Lee, Murray DID not speak in tongues, nor view Pentecost from a modern "Pentecostal" view. Murray's Calvinist view was apparently drawn from the Old Testament feasts, etc, culminating in the outpouring in Acts 2. Murray's view of Pentecost for the church seemed more of repentance and renewal, rather than "signs and wonders." Even so, we cannot doubt that Andrew Murray lived a deeply spirit-filled life and was used mightily of God. According to the Professor, he was a "spirit-filled Calvinist" rather than an early version of a contemporary Charismatic/Pentecostal.
