I read all of the responses to the original post and I must confess... you are all daft. THINK PEOPLE! What is Oscar "saying" in the Happy Prince? Compion and cruelty are themes that run throughout the story. Talk about it! Yes the mayor has cronies who can not "see" (much like the young prince who lived behind a wall), but what about the swallow's relationship with the reed? Seeing and not seeing....talk about it. Perhaps, we can begin here and move on.
