I am looking for the full text for a poem my grandmother used to recite to me. It begins as follows: :"there was once a pretty chicken and his friends were very few for he thought that there was nothing in this world but what he knew, he was always inthe barnyard and had a very forward way telling hen and geese and turkeys what they ought to do and say......"
