Many, if not all, of the novels were produced in monthly installments in popular journals (he produced one called Household Words). ens work however can be enjoyed by anyone. I have read A Christmas Carol to my seven yr. old at least twice and Oliver Twist is on our to be read at bedtime shelf. I'd save Bleak House and Our Mutual Friend for high school or college unless you just wanted to share some of the truly great pages such as the first chapter to Bleak House. Don't hesitate to read en's novels/short stories to or with young people, his works are thought prokoking on every level of life.
