The language of Paul Theroux is so poetic - entrancing images of sea forrest and sky, and the fictional characters or real human beings so incongruously in its net - human beings exposed as basically incongruous aliens opposed to the might nature and the beauty of the world more often than not and losing the battle but we are all involved as a species and empathise. Like Jack London his favourite worlds seem to be around the Pacific and brings man back to his wild savage roots to rediscover a humanity. Apart from that I would like to send Paul theroux a chapter from a book I wrote re Australia but cannot find as email address for him. But I admire the scope of his vision and characters and the tough ironic humour in his books. He shows the alienation of modern man in a junk food consumer based pop media indoctrinated society where man loses touch with his basic soul and nature,
