Hello. I am doing a paper about Pearl S. Buck's _The Good Earth_. I am having difficulty locating *good* critical yses that would help me do my paper. I am also having trouble coming up with a thesis statement, which is due Tues. 1/18/00 (yikes*!). I really wanted to do my paper on her Chinese and Biblical style (since those are two things that interest me) but I don't think there is enough info to do that. Then I was thinking of all the Themes and aspects of Style and stuff I could do, but I wouldn't know how to narrow it down. Now, I am not asking anyone to do my paper for me (gee, I can do that) but all I am asking for is a few suggestions. Heh, I talked to the librarian and she said no one has done Pearl Buck in 10 years!! So I am wanting to do the best darn I can and impress my English teacher (who hasn't been impressed with me yet).
