I have a nice print of what I believe is a rather famous painting. (The print was given to my parents by my grandparents 12/25/44) I'm trying to determine the name of the painting and/or the artist.
It's a side-view of a young girl in a yellow dress sitting at the edge of a forest. She has short dark hair and a yellow ribbon in her hair.
She's barefooted and looks rather alarmed.
An art dealer thought it was English in the Gainsborough mode.
Do you have any clues or ideas as to where I should look for my answer?
Thanks,
Delsa
