I was very surprised by this story and it's ending. I, like many others that have posted here, think of the lottery of something good and fun! If you win, you get something wonderful...a prize. In this situation it is completely reversed. However, in a way you could look at it as though it is exactly the same. The lottery now can make people lose their sense of life by making them rich and lose some values. This doesn't happen all the time though. I thought that Jackson did a very good job in writing this story bringing the story to a good climax and leaving you with your jaw hanging open. Originally I thought that something good was going to happen but apparently not... |
