AmberThis story showed the way of mankind in that day and age. The story was very misleading at first. It talked about how it was a bright, sunny day and the kids had just got out of school and were playing and gathering rocks as all young kids due. It talks about the husbands and wives gathered for the lottery. It was portrayed to be a very happy story, until the end when the little girl wins and ends up getting stoned. It was very misconceiving at first, bu the end was a real shocker. The author does have a good way of leading you on for a happy ending and then shattering your hopes for the ending.
