jollyroger.com & BeaconRay's Great Books presents. . .
THE JAVA BOOKSHELF

Ahoy! The Java Tutorial : Object-Oriented Programming for the
Internet (The Java Series) has just been released! This book rocks, and you might have trouble finding it early in September. We think it's an awesome tutorial straight from the people who created Java. AMAZON.COM books says: "The Java Tutorial is a practical, step-by-step guide to writing programs with Java, beginning with
the basics of the language and progressing through more advanced topics such as thread
programming, applet programming, and designing and implementing graphical user interfaces with
AWT."
Ahoy there! As books on Java and Javascript are published, we shall review them and stock our favorites upon our shelves, so as to become your complete Java
book resource. Most of the books below are due out sometime early/mid '96. Have fun sailing through BeaconRay's Great Books, and be sure to take a cruise on the largest generation-x "grungeservative" magazine on the WWW, THE JOLLY ROGER.
